YardCritters was created because robotic lawn-care technology is getting better every year, but the buying and ownership experience can still be confusing. Homeowners may have to compare navigation systems, determine whether a mower will work on their property, choose a charging location, map the lawn, create zones, configure schedules and troubleshoot problems — often with little local help.
The idea grew from firsthand experience with robotic lawn-care equipment and seeing the amount of trial and error involved even when the technology itself is excellent.
